Course description

"Very good presenter. Extremely pleasant and extremely knowledgeable"

In just two days, residential and commercial property lawyers or surveyors can gain an in-depth knowledge of planning law and procedures - and learn how to become the 'go to' planning specialist in their firm, and develop a new revenue stream as a result. The in-person seminar is presented by David Forbes, former partner at Pickworths Solicitors and planning law specialist.

He explains all the legal aspects of the planning process and the practical ways in which lawyers can be involved. All the latest government proposals are covered as are current and forthcoming legislation and key case law decisions. He discusses all aspects of planning applications; potential constraints on development; specific issues such as listed buildings, conservation areas, trees and hedgerows; and provides tips on best practice and issues of possible negligence.
