Compensation under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 is determined by a set of rules which give opportunities to minimise or maximise the figure, whichever is required. This is in part a matter of how lettings are structured and documented in the first place, though of course tactics as lease expiry approaches may also be important. The figures involved may be modest, or they may be very significant, and a good awareness of the tips and tricks can be important.

In this webinar with leading trainer Mark Shelton we will consider the impact of how transactions are structured, whether that is the original lease, or sub-leases granted along the way. We will also cover the timing of notices as circumstances unfold in the run-up to lease expiry, and the pitfalls that may lead to compensation being lost.
