Course description

The rules concerning the terms contained in trader to consumer contracts are set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and have been considered in several cases. However, there remains a considerable lack of knowledge among businesses about how to implement these rules in practice. Given that the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill sets out fining powers of up to 10% of annual global turnover for serious breaches of consumer law, now is the time for lawyers and their clients to consider what changes need to be made to ensure compliance.

This virtual classroom seminar with Keith Markham will summarise the existing rules, outline the proposed changes and set out a series of practical steps to take.
