This live and interactive online course will explore the different kinds of financial covenants, their purpose, how they are tested and their impact on a borrower's business.


Presented by expert banking lawyer Lynn Cantwell, the topics covered will include the reasons for including financial covenants (knowing a borrower's business, monitoring the financial health of a borrower and the value of a lender's security package), and the purpose of different financial covenants (specifically in relation to loan to value, interest cover, debt service cover, leverage, gearing and capital expenditure).


Testing financial covenants (provision of financial information, compliance certificates, relevant periods, potential breach and curing a breach), and the practical implications (financial reporting, exceptional items and plans for growth) will also be discussed.
