Course description

This virtual classroom seminar will advance your current understanding of loan facility agreements, both bilateral and syndicated. Key elements of the most common commercial form of loan instruments used today in the UK and beyond will be covered including, common areas of negotiation and amendment of key provisions, both will be addressed with reference to current market practice.


Knowledge and exercises will be presented with direct reference to current and anticipated new market practices, including practices of the London Loan Market Association (the ‘LMA’) and related regional bodies such as the APMLA and ALMA.


The live session will also explore and apply both current national and international market trends regarding the use and development of facility agreements and their impact on both documentation and standard practice. As well as recent legislation, case law developments and their practical implications on the whole documentation process.
