This live and interactive session will provide delegates with a sound introduction to the key elements of the most common types of construction document - professional appointments, building contracts and collateral warranties. Topics covered will include consultants’ and contractors’ obligations, payments, insurance, limitations of liability, assignment, and much more.
It is aimed at junior real estate lawyers who come into contact with construction documents in the context of real estate development transactions. The session will culminate in a practical exercise in which delegates will learn to review construction documents from the point of view of a third party beneficiary, such as a tenant entering into an agreement for lease with landlord’s works.
