Recent changes to both marriage and tax law have changed some of the planning assumptions which individuals and their advisors should make.
This 3-part modular webinar series with private client tax specialist Megan Saksida will explore the tax issues that are likely to arise for clients getting married or forming a civil partnership.
Module 1 will look at marriage & income tax, including married couples allowance, the impact of holding joint property, and income child benefit charge. Module 2 will focus on marriage & CGT, in particular connected parties, main residence relief, and transferring of homes. Finally, module 3 will explore marriage and IHT, looking at unlimited free transfers, the impact on the will, the maintenance of family, and more.
