Course description

When we send our children to school, we would all like to think that they are safe, as teachers in positions of responsibility are responsible for the welfare of those children. However, a recent Government study has revealed an alarming increase in issues of sexual misconduct in schools, both in terms of teachers and fellow pupils.

This virtual classroom seminar, presented by Alastair Hodge, will take you on an informative and practical journey through the fundamentals of the laws and regulations relating to sexual misconduct in schools.

Alastair will discuss dealing with sexual misconduct of teachers and students, the importance of policies and procedures in schools to deal with alleged sexual misconduct, the impact of social media and technology, and the potential criminal implications arising from misconduct.
