This in-person six-hour seminar covers all aspects of oral and written civil advocacy, including case preparation, witness statements, cross-examination, closing submissions and skeleton arguments. The session is presented by Professor Alastair Hodge, a Senior Advocacy Trainer for the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple who is renowned for his entertaining presentational style.


During this intermediate-level seminar, you will learn about: civil case preparation; case analysis and case theories; constructing and delivering the closing submission; evidence in chief; effective cross-examination; use of skeleton arguments; conducting remedy hearings; and the art of submission / application advocacy. This is an invaluable course for all advocates, and includes case studies and audience participation.
