Fuels Quality Overview is an online training course that provides a basic understanding of fuels, specifically gasoline and diesel. What makes them different? What are the unique properties of each? Suitability - Who should attend?
A certificate of completion will be awarded upon scoring at least an 80% on the 20 question multiple choice final exam.
Course Content
You will learn to:
- Distinguish between diesel and gasoline
- Recognize what octane is and why octane ratings are important.
- Identify the history of gasoline manufacturing and the drivers for its continued change
- Identify the impact that government legislation has on fuel quality, including the use of biofuels and the reduction of exhaust emissions
- Identify the roles played by ethanol, reformulated gasoline, biodiesel and other components of fuel
