The Ceramic Surface: creating layers with colour and print techniques
This course will introduce students to a variety of surface decoration techniques within ceramics. Students will create paper stencils to explore layering effects, direct printing methods and colour to create surface designs, enhancing the clay surface. Students will create a range of tiles and samples in which layering of surface techniques and colour can be explored to create surface designs and patterns. You will also be introduced to health and safety issues and good practice within the studio. This course is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners.
