Course description
You will learn to handle watercolour both on wet paper and dry. You will explore colour mixing and washes using landscape, still-life and portraiture as subject matter. You will be required to create a portfolio of your work accompanied by written reflective commentary.
Through demonstration and one-to-one tutoring you will undertake exercises and create finished works of art.
"You will need to bring the following to your first session:
Watercolour palette
Water pot
Watercolour brush - round headed brush, size 12
Watercolour paper - your tutor will advise you on the different types of watercolour paper at the start of the course
Set of watercolour paints
Your tutor will advise you further on materials during the first session.
Costs for materials for the duration of the course will be approximately £50"

No previous experience with painting or drawing is required, but you should be dexterous (able to hold and use equipment).
