This course spanning one day is designed to bring contractors up-to-date with the array of changes to BS 7671: 2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations, 17th Edition) Amendment 3, published in January 2015.
Delegates will learn all of the necessary information about major changes made in the 3rd Amendment and how their responsibilities as an electrical contractor have changed.

The workshop is targeted at electrical contractors who would like to stay up-to-date with the changes to BS7671. Although there are no formal prerequisites to enrol on this course, it is best suited to electricians who are trained in the 17th Edition.
Candidates should bring the following equipment with them to this course:
• Scientific calculator (not part of a smart phone application)
• Note-taking material (recording devices not allowed)
The course will give you knowledge of how to apply the latest requirements of BS 7671 incorporating Amendment 3 to electrical installations. After completing this course you will be able to demonstrate a much better understanding and work to the latest edition of BS 7671.

10:00 Welcome & Introduction
10:15 Changes to parts 1, 2 (Incorporating new Abbreviations)and 3 taking into account the change to competent person and how that affects the certificates and forms in part 6
11:15 Tea & Coffee
11:30 Changes to part 4 - Cmin explained and demonstrated, documented detailed risk assessments and protection against overheating explained. Changes to part 5 - Sockets used by ordinary persons, cables in walls, Auxiliary circuits and luminaires and lighting installations explained.
13:00 Changes to the Minor Works Certificate and changes to the inspection schedule of the Electrical Installation Certificate
15:00 Tea & Coffee
