Course description

Introduction to Sport Performance Analysis

This Certificate is aimed at everyone who wants to be able to improve sports performance through data analysis. You’ll learn what data can be gathered, how to interpret it, how to apply it to the coaching and training process, and how to make use of it in competitions.

Many teams are looking for evidence-based interventions that help improve efficiency of performance while reducing the risk of injury. So it makes perfect sense that sport performance analysis is increasingly in demand.

The course is particularly relevant for coaches at Level 1-2 in sports such as soccer, rugby, basketball and hockey, as well as teachers of PE in secondary schools. The course is also very appropriate for sport coaching students and others who might progress to further training and become accredited sports performance analysts.
