Course description
During this module you will analyse the interaction of fundamental security risk factors within information technology, including:
- the risk life-cycle from planning to risk assessment and control
- the range of risk tools applicable to companies, projects and systems
- the importance of risk in the context of computer security.
This module has been developed in association with experts from the police, business and national bodies. The programme is specifically focused on the needs of information managers and professionals in order to meet the security challenges of operating in the current business climate.
How do you study?
This module is delivered in one week-long teaching block at NTU's Clifton campus, and students will need to prepare themselves by carrying out self-directed study for a week before the module is delivered. Students will spend up to six weeks working on the module assignment following the teaching block.
