Finance for Non-Financial Managers
Finance is an essential element of an organisation, whether that's in the private, public or third sector, This basic Finance for Non-Financial Managers course outlines the importantance for every manager to at least have a basic overview of how things work and why.
This 'introduction' to business finance breaks down the key elements of the financial aspects of running an organisation and covers the main models and tools used by organisations to understand and report their financial situations, enabling more informed decisions to be made.
We break down the financial jargon for those who, perhaps with their role, haven't been exposed to or involved in financial matters thus far. It will also help those managers who have inherited a budget or for whom that managing a budget is something that they be taking on in future.
This course teaches participants about the key concepts of how to interpret financial statements and understand how they impact on their organisation, exploring some of the basic accounting concepts such as cash flow, depreciation, double-entry, balance sheets, profit and loss, cost management, budgeting and working capital.
