This bolt-on is aimed at candidates with an existing Level 3 C&G 2330 and C&G 2365, successful completion of the NVQ and AM2 assessment will satisfy the entry criteria for JIB-accredited electricians.

The City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification offers three distinct pathways based on your experience and tenure as an electrician.

These qualifications cater to newcomers, domestic installers, individuals seeking career advancement, and seasoned industry professionals, allowing them to acquire the essential skills needed for tasks related to the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems.

Level 3 signifies the industry's acknowledgement that learners have attained the requisite knowledge, experience, and competency required to fulfill their roles effectively. Upon achieving this qualification, you become eligible to apply for both the ECS Gold Card and JIB Grading, a significant incentive for those embarking on this career path.

Outcome / Qualification etc.

This qualification is not a technical certificate which you spend most of your time in a classroom or workshop, but rather a qualification that is completed in a place of work. To be able to complete this qualification you must be able to evidence your electrotechnical competency by completing Electrical installations on site and then have your work assessed by one of our Assessors. The majority of the assessment programme is completed on site (a real place of work and not a training centre), a small amount at the training centre and then the final stage is an assessment known as the AM2 (Achieved Measurement), which will be completed at an AM2 approved centre.
