Course description
Creative Photography
Our Creative Photography Course is perfect for both novice and experienced photographers alike. With a focus on creativity over technical instruction, participants will explore the architectural heritage surrounding Westland Place Studios with a professional photographer, attend a lecture on urban and cityscape photography, and receive demonstrations of photographic techniques. Following lunch, you'll be able to put what you've learned into practice during your own urban photo shoot. In the afternoon session back at the studios, photos taken can be reviewed and discussed with your tutor and other photographers.
By the end of the day, you will have developed your "photographer's eye," honed your technical skills, and gained a greater critical awareness of your image-making. Through these activities, you will become more attuned to the urban environment around you and better able to artistically capture it in a way that reflects your unique perspective.
Suitability - Who should attend?
You will need a digital camera ideally a DSLR. You may also want to use a notebook and pen.
