Hosted at top London venue the O2 Academy, Islington, Point Blank Music School's Live Sound Course teaches you the practical skills you need to work as a sound engineer in live music venues. Learn how to mix gigs: get to grips with mixing desks, microphones, monitors, DI boxes and much more. Small classes ensure you benefit from plenty of hands-on training from professional sound engineers. This area of the music industry is alive and kicking with bands using live performance as a successful revenue stream more than sales of their music. You can get work in these active areas of live gigs in venues and on the busy festival circuit. This course is great preparation for the real thing: you'll be putting your skills to the test at two live shows at top London venues which have played host to the careers of Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Gossip and many others.
