Children's Care, Learning & Development Level 3 Diploma

Children's Care, Learning & Development (Early Years Educator) Level 3 Diploma: This is a recognised qualification for people working in the Childcare sector with children and young people aged 0-5 years (with a working knowledge of 5-7 year olds). It covers the skills required by an Early Years Practitioner. You attend College for six hours per week for 30-39 weeks. You study topics such as partnership working, providing effective teaching and implementing the Early Years Foundation stage. This will improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in a variety of childcare settings with children under 5 years e course starts on the following dates: 12/09/19, 07/11/19, 09/01/20, 27/02/20, 23/04/20 and 04/06/20.Entry requirements:You must be 18 or over, and if you do not have a Level 2 qualification in maths & English prior to the start of the course, you need to pass an initial assessment to confirm your academic ability. You need to have basic ICT skills to complete the electronic portfolio. If your ICT skills are weak, please let us know and we can provide support with this. You need to have at least one year�s current experience working with children and/or have an existing relevant Level 2 qualification. As you will be assessed in the workplace, you are expected to remain in the same childcare setting (on a voluntary/paid basis) for a minimum of 14 hours per week, for the length of the course. We will obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting the course.Please note, to practise as a fully qualified Level 3 member of staff, you need to have a Level 2 in maths and English (this is either Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C)).
