Offering a new approach to health and safety training for non-managers, the IOSH Working Safely course offers all the health and safety basics in a high impact interactive package.
The course is designed to get you engaged with health and safety.
IOSH Working Safely isn’t supposed to turn delegates into safety experts, but focuses on why health and safety is important, and how individuals can make a real difference to the well-being of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.
Working Safely meets the government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.

Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this course offers exactly that.
No prior experience or preparation is required prior to the programme. It’s great to start thinking about health and safety in your organisation and the things you see around you. This will all be helpful for your learning.
Training Course Content
The course covers the following modules:
- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance
Course delivery details
Your understanding of health and safety basics is evaluated using multi-format questions and a hazard-spotting exercise carried out during the day’s training. On successful completion of the IOSH Working Safely course you will receive an IOSH accredited certificate.
