Course description
This part time evening course is held on Wednesdays from 6-9pm. As a standalone qualification, or as a first step towards the next level, it will allow you to move up to further study in bookkeeping, accountancy or computerised accounts.
Suitability - Who should attend?
You should have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

AAT Level 1
Training Course Content
You will study:
- Introduction to bookkeeping
- Working within bookkeeping
- Bookkeeping and accounts
- Spreadsheet software (basic)
Course delivery details
You will sit a formal computer-based exam in the last session of the course.

Continuing Studies
When you successfully complete this course, you will be qualified for employment in a junior role in an accounts office. You would normally progress to the Level 2 Bookkeeping (Intermediate) course.
