Course description
The AMSPAR Diploma in Primary Care and Healthcare Management have been designed specifically for managers in healthcare and general practice settings to help individuals meet the increasing demands of the sector. This is a Level 5 qualification and therefore of a similar level to a degree.

Suitability - Who should attend?
The programme is open to team leaders, potential managers and existing managers in a healthcare setting. Learners should ideally be educated to Level 3 standard and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
Training Course Content
To achieve the Diploma, candidates must complete the following modules:
- Managing medical ethics and legal requirements in a primary care and health environment
- Financial management and budgeting in a primary care and health environment
- Managing information and communication in a primary care and health environment
- Developing and leading teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
- Developing or improving services in a primary care or health environment
And two of the following optional modules:
- Developing critical thinking
- Becoming an effective leader
- Managing for efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing recruitment
