The course is ideal for anyone in a role within an organization that distributes pharmaceutical medicines or involved in such services or materials (raw materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), filters, packaging materials or consumables). This may involve logistics supply chains, including warehousing, transportation, distribution or wholesalers, secondary-packers, and labellers.

Upon completion of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Describe the distribution chain and common related issues
  • Direct pharmaceutical product, compliance, and commercial impacts from poor distribution practices
  • Describe pharmaceutical good distribution practice (GDP) versus good storage practice (GSP)
  • Understand the main Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) GDP guideline sections
  • Understand the general requirements of each PIC/S GDP guideline sections
