Course description
Organisational performance depends on having the right people in the right place with the right skills at the right time. Evidence-based, relevant and measurable learning opportunities not only address identified performance gaps but also engage employees and boost their careers. This online course is an essential introduction to effective learning needs analysis (LNA), including why it differs from training needs analysis, to support effective organisation capability. It has been designed by credible learning professional Michelle Parry Slater with insights from Chris Schiller and Krystyna Gadd, both with a raft of L&D expertise in the field of LNA.
The programme explains why training needs analysis should be moving to learning needs analysis, stopping short of performance consulting. It focuses on supporting an effective needs analysis, including using the right terminology, understanding the process, the eight areas of data collection for LNA and how to use the data to optimise learning impact.
As a result of attending this course, learners will be able to make reasoned decisions, unbiased judgement and communicate thinking to others clearly, when evaluating large amounts of information from various sources.
