Course description

Our programme introduces delegates to the foundations of CDM which are to deliver good health and safety practices in the construction industry by helping delegates sensibly plan the work so the risks involved are managed from the outset. We also cover the requirements introduced in 2015, consider how CDM 2015 links with project management principles and how to apply the regulations in practice.

  • The roles of the key Duty Holders under the regulations
  • Interpretation of key elements
  • Legal responsibilities of the duty holders
  • Health and safety responsibilities and roles of all the duty holders
  • Health and safety requirements on construction sites
  • Required documentation - Pre construction information - Notification forms - Construction phase plans - Health & Safety File

Course delivery details

The workshop is for CDM duty holders and health and safety professionals, and those involved in managing construction projects. It will enable understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) from the point of view of the Client, Principal Designer, and other Design Teams, the Principal Contractor and other Contractors. It will cover management duties and the required CDM Documentation.
