Course description

394,655 concerns of abuse regarding vulnerable adults were raised during 2017-18, a huge increase of 8.2% on the previous year. (Source: Safeguarding Adults Collection, NHS Digital)

Reporting abuse and neglect is a legal and moral responsibility for all Healthcare Professionals. If you are in a position where you are relied on by vulnerable adults, or you work with their families/ carers, you have a duty of care to ensure your Safeguarding training is up to date.

 This 1-day training course will refresh and update your Safeguarding Adults knowledge and enable you to continue providing the best possible care for vulnerable adults.

Suitability - Who should attend?

This Safeguarding Adults level 3 training course is for all staff who: -

  •     Need to respond to adult safeguarding concerns
  •     Contribute to supporting adults at risk of abuse and/or their families/carers
  •     Participate in Safeguarding Adults investigations

This could include but is not limited to; social workers, community care officers, social care workers, social care managers, GP’s, practice nurses, heads of quality, chief nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists
