Public Health England recommends those delivering vaccinations update their skills yearly.
This Vaccination Training 1-day refresher course follows recommendations from The National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners.
You will refresh your knowledge and practical skills needed to ensure safe vaccination delivery, recognise and manage anaphylaxis shock and perform basic life support.

This Vaccination + Immunisation training is a refresher session for all healthcare workers with a professional registration, inclusive of, but not limited to: -

Please Note - Delegates should have attended a 2-day foundation course or equivalent previous study, prior to attending this yearly update.

- Accountability, supervision and delegation
- Changes to National Immunisation Schedule
- Recent epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases
- Review of vaccine types and compositions
- Changes in contraindications and adverse events
- Review of current practice and identification of areas for improvement
- Delegate assessments - Intramuscular and Subcutaneous Injections
- Anaphylaxis recognition and management
- Basic life support demonstration and practical assessment
