Course description

Stress Awareness – Level 1 Award

Stress is a reaction to situations that we can’t manage, when we feel out of control and under pressure. In the past year, 74% of people have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope.

Mental health charity mind says stress can be experienced as an individual (struggling to cope with personal responsbilities), as part of a group (such as if your family is going through a bereavement or financial difficulties), as part of a community (a group experiencing discrimination) or as a member of society, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our fully-funded Level 1 Award in Stress Awareness will support you to identify the causes of stress, the effects it can have and give you coping strategies to support yourself or those in your wider community of family, friends and colleagues.
