Matlab is a programming environment used extensively by chemical engineers because of its simplicity and versatility. In particular Matlab is ideal to carry out mathematical modelling related to process design, control and optimization. This course will give you an overview of the most important capabilities of Matlab, including case studies and exercises related to chemical engineering.

 This course is intended mainly for professionals working in the field of chemical engineering and process engineering that have at least some basic knowledge of mathematics. Programming background is not necessary, because some basic programming concepts will be provided during the course. The course can be easily attended also by other typologies of engineers (e.g. mechanical engineers, aeronautics engineers, industrial engineers, etc.), researchers, specialists, managers, physicists, chemists, mathematicians, etc. that want to understand how to use Matlab to solve mathematical problems.
