Course description

Creative Writing: Single Project – CHRISTMAS EXPRESS

Get your dream writing project up and running this Christmas!

This course is designed for those writers who wish to spend the festive period intensively creating or developing  a single project of any length and in any genre or medium.  Sessions will run on Mondays and Thursdays and writers will work to have a final project for submission by the middle of January.

Writers must have a formed idea to bring to the course which indicates its proposed overall structure and content. Part of the project might be already written but this is not required. Over the course, writers will submit sections for discussion at a weekly workshop with other writers. Projects can be in any genre or medium including novels, short stories, poetry, sci-fi, horror, crime, relationships, memoir, comedy, plays, films, TV shows, nonfiction, historical fiction, fantasy and radio plays amongst others. Alumni of other MKCW courses are very welcome as well as writers of some experience. Includes some discussion of the writing craft, 12 creative workshops and post-course editorial response to a submission sample of 15,000 words, synopsis and formal query letter to publishers/agents/production companies. Limited Places.
