Course description

The RICS Boundary Dispute Guidelines, 4th Edition was completed in December 2020 and is effective from 10 March 2021. This virtual classroom seminar will cover the main items contained within the 4th Edition and will explain the thinking behind each.


Topics discussed will include boundary terminology, competence, and setting up the project. Research, Title Deeds and Registered Title will also be covered, along with Ordnance Survey mapping, meetings between surveyors, ADR and litigation, and much more.


The session is presented by leading expert David Powell, who has prepared well over 2,500 reports in addition to authoring books, publishing articles and giving oral evidence in Court on over 100 occasions on the subject. With appearances on BBC TV's 'Neighbours at War' series David also gives talks throughout the world.
