This virtual classroom seminar will explore law and practice in relation to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the UK.
Presented by Detective Chief Superintendent Gerry Campbell (the Deputy National Policing lead for FGM, Forced Marriage and Honour-Based Abuse) and Neelam Sarkaria (an experienced prosecutor, working judge, policy lawyer and lecturer) this live and interactive session will be invaluable to practitioners.
As well as providing an overview of gender-based violence/abuse, this session will also look at defining FGM as a harmful practice, understanding intersectionality, FGM - what is it, prevalence, types and drivers, and more.
