Course description

Good delivery of advice is all about effective communication that achieves an objective for your internal client. Typically, in-house lawyers must deal with many different types of people, in different roles and levels of seniority within an organisation and must tailor their approach to each group.

The consequence of failing to deliver advice effectively can result in a perception that you make matters overly complex, colleagues are left unclear on what they should do or ultimately, loss of confidence or interest in taking legal advice resulting the legal team being left out of important business matters.

Presented by Bhavisha Mistry, a former in-house lawyer of the year, this virtual classroom seminar will use real life examples to explore what good advice means in practice and will discuss the techniques that can be adopted, with worked examples.

Training Course Content

Introduction

Good delivery of advice is all about effective communication that achieves an objective for your internal client.

This is easier said than done as different clients want their advice in different ways; you need to determine how your client wants their advice delivered and identify what the client is looking to achieve on a case-by-case basis.

It is therefore key, that the skill to deliver advice effectively is mastered.

This virtual classroom seminar will use real life examples to explore what good advice means in practice and will discuss the techniques that can be adopted, with worked examples.
