Course description

Peer review is the process by which the Legal Aid Agency assesses quality. Any Legal Aid firm obtaining a rating of below competence puts their Legal Aid contract at risk.

This virtual classroom seminar explains the peer review process clearly and provides helpful hints and tips as to how best to demonstrate quality on your files. It is suitable for all fee earners working in a firm providing mental health law services under a Legal Aid contract.

This live session will cover common errors made by firms in providing services and address the issues that the peer review panel consider to be major areas of concern. It is presented by Nicola Gordelier, a Consultant Solicitor at Dovestone Law. Nicola was previously the Head of Department at Albin and Co solicitors, and is a senior member of the mental health law peer review panel.
