The Public Law Outline sets out the duties local authorities have when considering an application for a care or supervision order.
Where the concerns the local authority have about the care children are receiving escalate in respect of a family with which they are working, attempts will be made to avoid care proceedings. The pre-proceedings procedure provides a valuable opportunity for families to work with children’s services to address any issues arising.
Presented by Lorraine Green, this webinar will highlight areas of good practice and insights into how this process works in practice. The timeline for pre-proceedings procedures will be discussed, as well as pre-proceedings meetings and family assessments.
