Course description

All members of RICS across the globe are subject to RICS' Rules of Conduct, the current version of which became effective from 2 February 2022. Surveyors need to ensure that they are familiar with the requirements of the Rules, a breach of which may give rise to disciplinary action.

Members of the public are increasingly ready to raise complaints with the RICS. In 2023, RICS received 1981 complaints, and RICS opened formal investigations on 32% of these.

This virtual classroom seminar is aimed at surveyors who are subject to RICS regulation, wherever they are located. It will explain in practical terms what the rules say and provide detailed examples of how surveyors can ensure that they are demonstrating the ethical principles of honesty, integrity, competence, service, respect, and responsibility on which the rules are based.
