Some aspects of general damages need specific consideration. Valuing scarring brings particular challenges as it can be very subjective. Through the use of case studies this virtual classroom seminar will consider key issues that often arise.


This live session will also consider the role a Smith v Manchester award can still play despite the consideration of disability in valuing future loss of earnings on a multiplier/multiplicand basis. It will also consider when can a claim for loss of congenial employment, which is often overlooked, be considered?


The session is presented by Jasmine Murphy, a barrister with extensive experience encompassing a wide range of areas of personal injury law.
