Course description

This live broadcast session will be of benefit to anyone involved in the billing of the Crown Court aspect of criminal legal aid work.

You may be starting out, or you may be experienced in this area but just want to ensure that you are not missing out in any way. You need to be aware of the various documents necessary for the successful billing of Crown Court work from the perspective of both litigator and advocate.

The session will discuss the circumstances in which both litigator and advocate is paid a fixed fee for Crown Court work, rather than a fee dependent upon a page count and trial length. The billing of Proceeds of Crime work and guilty pleas will also be covered, along with the billing of cracked trials, payment for Newton hearings that either do or do not go ahead, and much, much more.
