This virtual classroom seminar is ideal for those who want to learn or become more proficient in the billing of ‘lower crime work’ i.e. non Crown Court work.


It will also cover the changes that were made concerning criminal legal aid in the latter part of 2022.


Topics discussed by leading trainer Colin Beaumont will include the circumstances in which you might be able to claim more than one fee when dealing with one client at the police station, the ‘sufficient benefits test’, and the importance of section 9 of the 2022 Standard Crime Contract Specification document. CRM 1 and 2 claims for work done outside of the police station will also be explored, along with CRM 3 work, examples of where you can claim a Category 2 Fee as opposed to a Category 1 Fee, and much more.
