Course description
This is an intensive practical workshop in colour printing. We will show examples of hand-printed C-types colour prints and use negatives to experiment with the process. We will make at least one print from your negatives for you to take home.

This is a practical, hands-on introduction to colour printing, using our professional well-equipped colour darkrooms, taught by an industry professional at London Met's renowned art school, The Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design (The Cass). You'll be able to produce colour photographs using the c-type process. You'll gain specific skills in the darkroom that will enable you to make your own contact sheets, test strips and enlargements.
By the end of the course, you will understand:
- filtration
- colour casts
- colour correlations
- how to produce a print

Suitability - Who should attend?
The course is suitable for photographers who are confident with digital photography and who may already have had some experience with black-and-white photography, but are now ready to extend their photographic skills within a darkroom situation and want to continue to shoot with analogue cameras.
