Course content
The course will develop your understanding of portraiture; documentary as well as landscape, abstract and conceptual photography. It will also explore issues of photographic language and visual representation in photography in these subjects. The course does cover practical and technical aspects of photography . In addition it will examine what you are shooting and why and how you can communicate ideas, views and feelings with photography.As part of your course and where the opportunity occurs, literacy/numeracy together with speaking and listening skills will be developed.
Who is this course for
The course will help to develop your understanding of portrait, documentary together with landscape photography and explore issues of photographic language and visual representation . You will examine what and why you are shooting and how you can use photography to communicate ideas, views and feelings. Practical and technical aspects are also covered.
Entry requirements
Students should have either completed the beginners course at Harrow College or have a strong interest in photography and can use a digital SLR camera on a manual setting (shutter speeds, aperture and ISO etc). Students must possess a Digital SLR camera.
