Course description
Diversity
Inclusion is a dynamic state of operating which is facilitated by a fair and safe environment for all. Social work has in its core values, and is described in its global definition with, social justice and human rights. When these two statements are coupled together, it is only expected that social work education and training will prepare students to respond appropriately to situations where equity and equality of opportunity are of essence.
The module’s main aim is to equip professional social workers and professional social and health care workers with the skills and knowledge that will empower them to put the best practice into place in the field. This module’s intent is to help reduce the occurrence of discrimination and to make sure professionals are confident to negotiate that everyone is treated fairly and is given equal opportunities.
