Leadership through Action Learning BUSI-1406
This module is for registered practitioners working within leadership roles in clinical practice. You must have support from your managers. Potential consideration can be given for on site/Trust delivery of this module if there are sufficient and viable student numbers.
This module will extend your knowledge and skills in contemporary leadership approaches in order to enhance your personal leadership qualities and to use action learning as a vehicle to explore, reflect and make adjustments to your own practice. The leadership components which inform this module have been developed from the DoH document Inspiring Leaders: Leadership for Quality (2009) and incorporates the NHS Change Model (2012) and the Healthcare Leadership Model (2013). You will examine and analyse selected approaches to leadership within health and social care, and reflect on successes and challenges while making ongoing adjustments to your leadership style. You are required to attend a two-day development workshop, followed by six Action Learning Set Days.
The two-day workshops will be on October 6th & 7th and the six action learning set days are in weeks commencing October 20th, November 17th, December 7th, January 19th, February 16th and March 13th, however the days vary.
