Community Learning Online: Golden Oldies Singalong
A live online singalong with a pianist/choral leader (with lyrics on screen) for people with dementia or memory loss.

What you’ll learn
You will sing along to a selection of songs that you’ve chosen from the 1940’s to the 1980’s. Sing the songs of Frank Sinatra, Elvis or Abba, you choose!
What will the Singalong content be?
Before each singalong, you can download and print out the lyrics or read them in large print on screen.
Don’t worry, your voice won’t be heard on its own! But you will be able to hear your Singalong Leader and a full vocal recording of all the songs you are singing. You’ll be able to see all the other Golden Oldies Singalong members on your screen too and we’ll give you plenty of chances to have a chat so we all get to know one another!
Course delivery details
We will do a vocal and physical warm-up with some easy and well-known community songs.
Polly will then suggest songs from the list that you and the other ‘Golden Oldies’ participants requested at the beginning of the course. Polly will play and sing the songs for you as a reminder and then everyone can join in when she plays it through for a second or third time.
You don’t need to memorise the lyrics of the songs as you can read the lyrics on-screen or you can hum along.
