Overview
This very popular practical workshop course traces the administration of a deceased’s estate from first instruction to file closure. This course uses practical examples and case studies to take you through the process from start to finish.

This course will be of benefit to legal practitioners new to this area of law and those who seek to understand the administration of a deceased estate from start to finish.
What will you learn?
- Follow a transaction from first instruction to completion.
- Understand IHT calculations and IHT exemptions and relief that apply during life time and death.
- Understand the purpose of statutory advertisements
- Describe the Inheritance Provision for Family and Dependants Act 1975
- Recognise the steps you will need to take to protect yourself and your firm against claims in negligence.
- Advise beneficiaries and executors with confidence.
