Springboard Boost Early Careers Development Overview

Boost is a personal and work development course written for men and women who are relatively new to the working world, and in the early stages of their careers. They may be in jobs full time or part time, in apprenticeships, graduate or onboarding  programmes and could be any age. It prepares participants to develop their careers quickly and effectively, by coaching them to become more career ‘savvy’ and self-reliant for career management.

The course was launched in 2016 in response to employers’ requests for staff, trainees and apprentices to get to grips with their relevant career goals, and make the most of their potential, becoming a contributory employee much faster. This course is complimentary to apprenticeships, graduate programmes and onboarding programmes.

Boost work & personal development training programme for both women and men in their early careers is delivered by our sister company Springboard Consultancy.

Overall, Boost aims to:

  • instil a positive sense of direction and boosts confidence
  • teach essential skills that will enable you to progress rapidly
  • provide clear, practical and realistic goals that you can achieve
  • improve personal effectiveness, aids communications skills & builds assertiveness
  • develop effective intergenerational communication

The programme is composed of 4 one day workshops delivered on-site or 8 half day workshops delivered virtually. Delivery can be tailored to suit the organisation and will be discussed further.

Course delivery details

Springboard Boost Early Careers Development Delivery

Delivery for the Fresh Steps programme consists of:

  • 4-day workshops if delivered face to face. Remotely, the programme will be split into 8 x 3.5 hour sessions over 3 to 4 months.
  • Individual work to be completed in between workshops.
  • Inspirational speakers to challenge participants’ thinking.
  • Networking.
  • An especially written folder with background additional information, plus self-development exercises to work through in-between workshops.
  • Self nomination.
