The core aim of this programme is to help you develop your coaching knowledge, skills and understanding to enhance your confidence when coaching others. This course will help you to understand how coaching works, learn about recognised coaching models, tools and techniques and support you to put your new coaching skills into practice.

Is this course right for me?

This course is for those at all levels who want to develop their coaching knowledge, skills and understanding to enhance their ability and confidence in coaching. This course is aimed at those who have less experience of coaching and would like to gain an insight into how to effectively use coaching tools, techniques and models to support effective one-to-one coaching in the workplace.

Are there any formal entry requirements?

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, we advise that before registering onto the programme, you have carefully considered how you will meet and undertake the required practical coaching and mentoring hours as part of the qualification (6 hours for this qualification).

For our online programmes, you are required to have access to suitable IT resources (access to a laptop/PC/iPad/tablet) and an internet connection to be able to access the ‘live’ online workshops.

Training Course Content

The programme is made up of three core modules that enable participants to understand, develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills in effective coaching.

  • Module 1: 'Understanding Good Practice in Coaching within an Organisational Context’
    • This module aims to provide the participants with an understanding of the practice required for effective coaching within an organisational context.
  • Module 2: 'Undertaking Coaching within an Organisational Context’
    • For this module, participants are required to plan, prepare and maintain accurate and auditable records for 6 hours of effective coaching with a maximum of 2 individuals.
  • Module 3: 'Reflecting on Coaching Skills within an Organisational Context’
    • For this module, participants are to reflect on their ability to perform effectively as a coach within an organisational context.
