Course description

Practitioners dealing with mental health, adult incapacity and private client affairs in Scotland need to have a working knowledge of how deprivation of liberty (DOL) is defined by Scottish Law. As well as this, it is vital that you understand how DOL is defined by the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR) and United Nations Convention on Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) so that you are aware of the ways in which Scotland complies.

Sarah Prentice presents this comprehensive and informative webinar that covers the legal definition of deprivation of liberty, the procedural safeguards required for a DOL to be compliant with ECHR and UNCRPD, and more.
