Course description
Cybercrime has mushroomed over the course of the recent pandemic, increasing by 500% in some sectors. Working from home and hybrid working has contributed to this exponential rise, as have the increasingly sophisticated methodologies deployed by the scammers.
In the current febrile climate, we all need to have our wits about us in the battle against the scammers and fraudsters, particularly as our PII insurers and management standards require us to prove that we have taken steps to guard against being taken for a ride.
The fact that we may be a little paranoid doesn’t mean they are not out to get us. ‘Trust no-one’ is not a great recommendation for client care but ‘taking five’ to ask ourselves ‘could I be being scammed here?’ is always good advice.
Presented by compliance expert Trevor Hellawell, this webinar will discuss the common types of cybercrime and fraud scams we might encounter and how best to overcome them.
